Stephen J. Toner M.D. proudly served as a United States Air Force physician until he began his private practice in Panama City, Florida. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Academy Otolaryngology-Allergy, American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He retains memberships in The Bays Medical Society, Florida Medical Association, and American Medical Association.
He obtained his B.S. in Pharmacy from Howard College, and received his M.D. from the University of Alabama Medical School. He completed his Internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham and finished his Residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Alabama/Birmingham.
He has served as Chief of Staff at Bay Medical Center (1982, ’83, 2002) and was the Medical Director of Gulf Coast Medical Center (2009). He retains privileges on the medical staffs of the Northwest Florida Surgery Center, Surgical Center for Excellence, and Gulf Coast Medical Center. Dr. Toner was born in Indiana, but has practiced medicine in Panama City since 1973.
